Privacy Policy

The short version

Your typing never leaves your device. TypeTimer's tests, results, history, and result cards are generated and stored entirely in your browser. We do not have accounts, so we cannot have a database of your results. The one exception is a purchased verified certificate, described below.

What we do collect

  • Anonymous page analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are used. This does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
  • Email you send us. If you email Mark@Reinventing.AI, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.
  • Verified certificates (only if you buy one). When you purchase a verified certificate, we store the name you choose to print, the certified score (WPM, accuracy, consistency, test length), the issue date, and your Stripe checkout session reference, keyed to the certificate's verification ID. This record exists so anyone holding the ID can verify the certificate. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number.

What stays on your device

  • Test results, personal bests, and history (localStorage).
  • Your theme preference (localStorage).
  • Text you paste into the custom typing test (never transmitted).
  • Result cards and certificate PNGs (rendered by your browser as downloads).

You can erase all of it at any time with the "Clear history" button under any test, or by clearing your browser's site data for typetimer.com.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or share data with third parties.
  • We do not run third-party ad trackers.
  • We do not upload your typing content or results.
